Twike in the News

The Twike electric vehicle, which can go up to 55 mph, has been selected as the His and Hers Fantasy Gift in the 2006 Nieman Marcus catalog.

Here.

The Twike website for the U.S. says:
"A TWIKE in a basic version costs approximately 20.500 € [~ 26,000 United States Dollar *]."

Nieman Marcus has it for $40,000.

Is that pup street legal? 55 mph on Fayetteville sidewalks would get you killed - never mind the pedestrians who might (but are probably not) be using them. I'd love one - but not at that price (or even half that price).

Yes, it's street legal. I think the sidewalks in the picture are just for fantasy purposes.
