I can't figure out Dan Akroyd, either he is a true believer in this paranormal stuff or playing it very dry.

I don't know the extent of Dan Ackroyd's beliefs about the paranormal, but he does believe in mediumship and a good deal of the UFO stuff. In fact, he is a member and sometime spokesperson for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). I saw him on TV once explaining a little of this. He showed a picture of his grandfather (or some relative) and said that the person had been a medium.
