May 2015 Freethinker meeting

Post by Dardedar »

Hello Freethinkers,

We had a great time at our Block Street booth last weekend. We met a lot of new people and had some interesting discussions. We also have a video of a serious attempt at winning our $5,000 prize for moving a ball one inch while using only the power of your mind.
If you didn't make it by the booth, Doug and Darrel will perform all of the magic tricks and illusions they did at the booth, at this this meeting. No extra charge!

We'll also have available our two new styles of coffee mugs (logo design winners #1 and #2), and some new banners purchased with our 3rd place logo winner.

At this meeting we'll have an interactive interview with educator Michael... regarding his adventures of founding a secular student group in Van Buren.
Darrel will have a short bit about the importance of using humor while combating nonsense of all kinds.
We'll also have some informative heretical video clips and a short logical Fallacy lesson.

As noted, the library is not available to us in June so we may have a picnic in a park instead. We'll keep you updated on how that goes.
