February 2008 Meeting

Okay folks, it's jolly well time for the February meeting of the
Fayetteville Freethinkers. Last month we had a great meeting. We
watched a presentation revealing the Secrets of the Psychics and had a
lot of audience participation. Our year is off to a great start.

This month we will have a guest speaker from the Unitarian Universalist
Fellowship. You will learn everything you wanted to know about
Unitarians but were too lazy to get up Sunday morning and go to their
fellowship hall to find out. Bring questions, it's a discussion.

For the Caveat Emptor part of our meeting (now a regular feature)
Michael T. will unravel the amazing story of the king of late night
dis-infomercials: Kevin Trudeau. It's about time someone gave that
fellow a good roast.

Tamara will give a presentation about her favorite book, The Four
Agreements.

We will also have a discussion about the role of nonbelievers in
politics. American Atheist president Ellen Johnson has urged atheists
to refrain from voting this year (we have a clip). Is this a good
idea?

We'll have more along with funny clips and freethinker news.

Note: This month we will be meeting in the Board Room.

When: Saturday, February 23, 2008

Where: The Fayetteville Public Library. 401 W. Mountain
St. (two blocks west of the town square). Library phone: 571-2222.

Time: 2:00pm.

Room: The Boardroom. Walk in the front door, through the lobby and go
to your LEFT. Just to the left of the audio/video section is the Board
Room. We'll be in there. You can bring snacks and drinks from
Arsaga's coffee shop in the lobby.
