Gee, interesting how all of the porn and spam ends up in this section. Maybe we should rename it.

Just cruising around the Memberlist and I see that some SPAMbot got ahold of your address and has added what appears to be LOTS of bogus members, beginning around July 1. I don't know if that's what the above posts are referring to, I can't find the original.

Just cruising around the Memberlist and I see that some SPAMbot got ahold of your address and has added what appears to be LOTS of bogus members, beginning around July 1. I don't know if that's what the above posts are referring to, I can't find the original.
I'm well aware of this, but the process of removing them is slow; I haven't had the time to keep them down. I've removed well over 200 already. Perhaps in the coming week when my classes are over...

Do you have a captcha requirement when people sign up for accounts? That would stop them, I bet.

We do. More and more people are going to manual spam to beat captchas, though, and I haven't had time to update the software. I have some ideas in mind if somebody smarter than me has already written the mods, and I'll install them when I have time. So, like, maybe 2012.
