April 2009 Freethinker Meeting

It's time for the April meeting of the Fayetteville Freethinkers.
We almost decided to not have our meeting this month and just get together for dinner. It's seems about once or twice a year we get bumped into the smaller meeting room at the Fayetteville library. This wouldn't be a problem except that with our attendance now approaching 50, we won't fit very well in a room that holds 30. We are a victim of our own success!
Maybe we need to buy an old church? Just kidding.
In any case, we decided to go forward with the meeting, people really do look forward to getting together once a month. It's important. So it will be first come first serve, ruthlessly enforced! You cannot buy your way in (well, check with Doug).
Felix will give a presentation on an article he had published in the March/April issue of Skeptical Inquirer magazine:
"The Potential Habitable Zone on Saturn's Moon Enceladus"
This meeting we'll show the Madalyn Murray O'Hair video we didn't get to last time: "Godless in America."
We'll also have some news items relevant to freethinkers, our moral question of the day, as well as a few video clips from the Internet for everyone to enjoy. We can also discuss strategy for our booth at Springfest which will be the following weekend. Because of the cramped quarters, we'll keep the meeting pared down to the bare freethinker minimum. And we will of course, go for a delicious dinner afterward.

Where: The Fayetteville Public Library. 401 W. Mountain
St. (two blocks west of the town square). Library phone: 571-2222.
Time: 2:00pm.
Room: The Boardroom. Walk in the front door, through the lobby and go
to your LEFT. Just to the left of the audio/video section is the Board
Room. We'll be in there. You can bring snacks and drinks from
Arsaga's coffee shop in the lobby.
